This is true. I have lived in Communist countries for lengthy periods. To Americans visiting such a country, they are often shocked at the group-think, and what ridiculous things brainwashed citizens believe.
At the same time, when in the USA, I am shocked by the group-think here, and what many brainwashed Americans will also believe.
