People with feeble minds love to have things like the American flag look stylized and simplistic, much like the commie drivel posters and bumper stickers they love so much.
They sneer at Norman Rockwell paintings because they “look too real man” and like the acid tripping posters of Andy Warhol because it reminds them of the last times their minds were addled with illicit drugs and booze.
Before he went completely berserk, VanGogh painted lovely, “normal” artwork.
Maybe this is how the flag actually “appears” to those schizos.
