In my shelf of “to read” books is this one about the guy who is supposed to have “perfected” the top 40 radio format. I was always a bit too poor forty years ago to buy a whole lot of music, so I listened mostly to the radio.

Hell, now that I’m solvent enough to afford to buy the stuff, it’s available for nearly free!
