I’ll bet Jack’s last 30 years were much better quality than his brother’s last 30 years.
According to his obituary, Norman LaLanne ran his own business until he was 88, was a regular at a local barbecue joint, enjoyed playing golf at his club regularly until shortly before he died and he would speak with his brother on the phone every day.
So he was apparently lucid to the end, and feeling well enough to play golf in his 90s.
Jack LaLanne's mantra was "if something tastes good, spit it out."
Doesn't sound like he enjoyed the last 30 years if all he was doing was drinking celery juice and exercising.
