In time, they will be utterly discredited, like the Nazi judge Roland Freisler, who conducted show trials of doomed enemies of the state, berating them, ordering male defendants to be brought to court minus their belts so that they had to stand, holding up their trousers, while he screamed invective at them from the bench. When his body was brought to the morgue, his fellow Nazis breathed a sigh of relief.
