I find it hard to believe she did not know she was here illegally. She never questioned why she could not get a drivers license ? She goes on in video to say, she is shielding her family memebers who are here illegally. The advocate for her maintains the child should not be blamed for the parents crimes, but he does not address how it should be the parents facing criminal charges and not the girl.He just overlooks parents criminal actions.

As long as she promises to vote for the Democrats in perpetuity, ICE will ensure she’s on a pathway to citizenship...and can vote even before she becomes one.
Hail to Hugo Chavez Obama.

>> Her story reflects bla bla bla
To HELL with her story! What about OUR story? The story of America “reflects” widespread taxpayer robbery and municipal insolvency and citizen unemployment because we’re overrun with these criminals.

She now faces deportation Monday because her status was discovered by Irving police during a traffic stop. This is a belated Christmas gift. And now we just have 19,999,999 to go!

Won’t be the first time parents screwed over a kid by their illegal actions.

Truthfully, the law looks sideways at many illegal crimes when it serves no purpose. How many times have we all gone through a reddish-orange light? They could be out there deporing criminals first, but that isn’t the game. So instead they pick a sympathetic case.

So how much has it cost taxpayers to subsidize this Mexican’s Pity Party for the last 14 years?

Hypothetically, If your parents did something illegal like this (I know they did not), when you turned 18 would you go to the police, turn your family into the cops and volunteer to go to prison with your parents?
I know there is a problem, just wondering if this is the solution.

She should be angry with her parents, not the law, because her parents broke the law and she is paying the price for that. She should disown her parents for not even telling her, if that was the case. She should go back to Mexico and file to come back as a regualr legal immigrant.

“...after attending a college financial aid workshop.”
Financial aid that would have been stolen from a rightful citizen if not for the fact that she was discovered.
Why isn’t the press playing that angle? Forget HER sob story. Do a piece on the U.S. citizen who was denied financial aid because some illegal took his/her funds.

Regardless of how sympathetic her “plight” might actually be, she is still here illegally, whether she knew it or not.
She can apply for legal entry or citizenship and if she truly didn’t know she was here illegally (which i don’t believe), I would say don’t hold her previously illegal status against her.

If the children never have to pay for the parents’ “crimes,” then why do some say that America should give the Southwest back to Mexico in the first place?
That’s even assuming a “crime” occurred.

FINE, if she wants to be American....she can do it legally, OR NEVER, EVER be able to VOTE or use services (welfare, education, etc) here again.

Brought here at age six and
"she found out she was in the country illegally during her junior year of high school, after attending a college financial aid workshop. Who believes that is how it happened, and who believes that was inserted just to enhance to tear-jerker quality of the story?

"It's going to be hard for me to adapt. It's a different atmosphere." No. There are neighborhoods in Dallas that are indistinguishable from Mexico. She will feel right at home in her native land.
