Another Year, Another Racially Insensitive Cafeteria Menu(Moonbat Madness Barf Alert)
Pajamas Media ^ | January 30, 2011 | Ed Driscoll

Do these stories happen every year? This was posted yesterday at the Daily Caller:

A California university says it was bad taste to serve chicken and waffles on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Officials at the University of California, Irvine, say the menu of stereotypical black food was served on Jan. 17 — the first day of the school’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. symposium.

The dining hall advertised the meal as an “MLK Holiday Special.”

The co-chairman of the school’s Black Student Union and another student lodged formal complaints.

University spokeswoman Cathy Lawhon tells the Los Angeles Times that the cafeteria staff made a last-minute decision about the menu. She says the intention was to offer holiday comfort food. The company that runs the cafeteria says it will conduct cultural sensitivity training for its chefs and managers.

Last year, the NBC commissary at Rockefeller Center in New York featured this menu:

As somebody quipped on twitter back then, “I’m simultaneously offended and hungry.”

Presumably they too had cultural sensitivity training in response. Is there a firm that first supplies these menus to cafeterias and then the requisite cultural sensitivity training afterwards? OK, I didn’t think so, but why do these things keep happening amongst our enlightened betters in the media and academia?

“But we’re talkin’ NEW YORK CITY, and NBC STUDIOS, AT THAT!............”

Good point. Who knows how they “fried” the chicken in trans-fat free NYC. They must have used some sort of tofu-soy-sunflower seed oil. And real buttermilk is certainly out of the question.

Agenda: Keep racism alive. Keep groups pitted against one another (Stalin, Hitler). Keep the race baiters’ income coming in. Keep racial politics (POWER) going.

There is no way these agenda items will be sacrificed in the name of ending racism.

So do they propose that the menu offer only items that they hate on MLK day? I would offer blood pudding and testicles instead.

Yes Virginia...it’s racist to serve MLK’s favore meal on a day in his honor...

Late Democrat James Earl Ray smiles from the depths of hell...

Oh...you didnt know Ray was a democrat?

“Ray arrived in Los Angeles on November 19. While in L.A., Ray attended a local bartending school and took dance lessons. His chief interest, however, would be the George Wallace presidential campaign. Ray harbored a strong prejudice towards African Americans and was quickly drawn to Wallace’s segregationist platform. He would spend much of his time in Los Angeles volunteering at the Wallace campaign headquarters in North Hollywood.”

Wallace ran the first three times for president as a

*drum roll please*

DEMOCRAT.

Good thing it wasn’t pancakes!!!

Imagine the outcry if they had served sausages or toast & jelly!

Oh the humanity.

That is also the same day as Brussels Day.
...as a Belgian, I’m deeply offended that they served waffles!

;-)

“Anyone else notice that February, THE SHORTEST MONTH, was chosen for “Black History Month”?”

And every four years a little something extra is added to the end. That is outrageously stereotypical as well!;)

I would not be offended if on Polish American day a cafeteria offered pierogies and kielbasa. I would be very pleased in fact.

Me too!!! Just had kielbasa, cabbage and potatoes last night! mmm...mmm...mmmmmm!

I’d request pierogies about once every month!
Keep ‘em coming!

...in another 20 or 30 years we will be having White History Month...

Meatloaf with ketchup and mashed potatoes

Peanut butter and jelly on white bread with carrot sticks

Pizza with Doritos and Coke

Campbell's tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich

Bacon and eggs with hashbrowns and orange juice

Macaroni and cheese with Saltines...

The first complaint of this sort I remember had a menu of Barbecued ribs, collard greens and sweet potatoes for MLK day. I was pretty offended myself since nobody offered me a plate of that.

If they’d NOT served anything remotely considered to be Black food on MLK day, then some liberal would have complained they were ignoring the black struggle for equality and were sending out a racist statement to schoolchildren everywhere.

What kind of Yankee scum puts smoked turkey in collards?

Should have been pig's feet.

Assuming he was Hindu, that was a major gaffe.

If he was Muslim, not a problem. Except that devout Muslims won’t eat with infidels.

Of course, devout Hindus aren’t supposed to either.

I had no idea there was anything stereotypically black about waffles.

Learn something every day.

Fried chicken and waffles....I’m telling you it is difficult to think up a tastier meal.

Country ham and biscuits with corn on the cob.

He was quite incensed, and you could tell that there was a big white elephant in the room when he ordered a salad.

It’s so confusing, does that mean I’m PC or un-PC or just enjoy some good ol’ southern fried chicken?

It depends on whether or not a white-guilt liberal saw you eat it. :-)

And, regarding Chitlins on the menu..... Buddy of mine used to manage a local grocery store. Said that that they rarely sold the things, except when the local (all black) college had their homecoming weekend. For a week on either side, the store couldn't keep enough of them in stock.

True story. Make of it what you wish.

As for me, you couldn't pay me enough to eat chitlins.... Heard a story where a guy dropped one on the floor and his cat spent 30 minutes trying to cover it up.
