Mick Taylor - nice bloke who was treated shabbily and was later replaced by that creepy gyppo.

After the burst of early great tunes like 19th Nervous, Lady Jane, As Tears Go By and a few others - I found them rather boring.

Shattered, Waiting on a Friend, Start Me Up - dreadful stuff. Popular but just not very good.

Best Stones song I bet no one here ever heard of:

“Stop Breaking Down” (Exile on Main Street)

Listen to it cranked for best effect.

.
.
.
Also, the end of Hey Jude is not “tedious’ It is 5 minutes of The Beatles COOKING!

Also listen to that cranked. And Hey Bulldog. And Oh Darling. And “while My guitar Gently Weeps”

On certain websites you can find a recording of the Stones in Hawaii circa 1966. It was their last show of their then American Tour. That was in July 66 I think. About the same time in Tokyo, the Beatles had their show at the Budokan. Put those shows together and one will know why the Stones were considered the greates Rock n Roll Band in the world. The sneering of “Satisfaction” when it was fresh is something to hear.
