Marriage should be a question for the states. A federal constitutional amendment on marriage would be an unprecedented federal power grab from the states.

This is a Constitutionalist crock. A Constitutional Amendment is by definition a proper federalist action, as by definition 3/4s of the states have to ratify it.

One can argue about keeping marriage at the state level, but this arguement about an amendment is farsical.

You are correct. I always reserve the right to be wrong and today I seem to be using up my entire year's allotment.
