YOU posting here on Free Republic is VERY much the same thing, you just don’t realise it..everything you have posted on Free Republic has been cached and indexed in the in the google databases, for the entire world to retrieve, in a matter of seconds.

One difference is that on FR, most folks use screen names, not their own personal, real life names. No future employer is going to google tainan as it might “Joe Smith.” So it’s not really the same thing. What anyone says on here vs. who he is, being googled would be irrelevant to (say) being checked out by the potential employer.
