Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and her husband will each teach two classes at the University of California-Berkeley in 2011 as part of a combined $300,000 deal, according to documents released by the school in response to a Michigan Capitol Confidential freedom of information request.

In an Aug. 12 letter sent to Granholm and her husband Dan Mulhern announcing the appointments, Berkeley Law School Dean Christopher Edley Jr. wrote: “We propose that each of you teach two courses or seminars per year, and have active affiliations with one or more policy research centers.”

Edley added: “In addition, University policies will permit you to devote substantial time to outside consulting or other compensated activity, as well as your summers.”

California, like Michigan, has for many years been facing persistent gaps between what politicians wish to spend and the tax revenue coming in to the state. Gov. Jerry Brown and the state’s politicians are currently attempting to resolve an estimated gap of $25.4 billion...

CA must be rolling in extra cash to offer such generous salaries for doing practically nothing to these Democrat retreads. I’m sure the state pays other Leftists in the university system even more, but this is nice for starters.
How much is Granholm getting from the impoverished state of MI? Democrats ride the double-dip taxpayer gravy train for life.

The political class takes care of its own. It’s only taxpayers’ money after all.

Better Cal-Berkely’s money than Michigan State’s or U of Michigan’s money.

So this Canadian born asshat, moonbat loser ruins Michigan then leaves with her loser husband to steal money (that Cali doesn’t have) from California citizens for supposedly teaching something irrelevant, at best. What a country.

Wow! How will they ever squeeze two whole classes out of their busy schedule. I’d venture to say that a quarter of a million dollars for two classes is not enough!! Maybe they’re holding out for tenure so they can have a grad student teach their two classes.

Wow, where can I sign up for such generous pay ? Each class I teach at the University only pays $2500 ! If I were to become full time faculty, I would get $5000 ! But $125,000 for each class ! Very generous ! CA citizens get taken to the cleaners once again !
