The president is firing up labor groups critical to his reelection with talk of an “assault on unions” in Wisconsin.

President Obama is sending a clear message to his allies in the labor movement as he gears up for his reelection campaign: I’ve got your back.

The president has waded into the bitter standoff in Wisconsin between Gov. Scott Walker (R) and public service unions, siding with protesters who say Walker’s plan to shore up his state’s budget with cuts to pensions and benefits is an “assault on unions.”

"Some of what I've heard coming out of Wisconsin, where you're just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain, generally seems like more of an assault on unions," Obama told the Milwaukee television affiliate WTMJ. "And I think it's very important for us to understand that public employees, they're our neighbors, they're our friends."

The teachers protesting are violating their contracts and should be identified and fired by their respective school districts.

Troopers sent after Wisconsin Democratic leader—with a message
Republicans in the Wisconsin state Senate have asked that state troopers be sent after Democratic leader Mark Miller. A Democratic state senator said he and fellow Democrats could stay away for days or even weeks.

Democratic state Sen. Jon Erpenbach spoke to The Associated Press at a Chicago hotel on Friday...
Neil Graupner, a 19-year-old technical college student from Madison, said he was planning to stay until the matter is settled.

“The fact that the Democrats have walked out, it shows they’re listening to us,” he said late Thursday as he prepared to spend the night at the Capitol.

The protesters chants of “Kill the Bill!” and “Recall Walker Now!” could be heard throughout the day and long past dark.

Maybe it’s a good thing Obama’s siding with the unions - he’ll probably skroo them up in the process like he’s done with everything else he touches.

Why is the O getting involved in a ‘States Rights’ issue? We have had these issues in the past with the Federal Govt.

OK, all union members vote for Obama.

Everyone else, vote for the opposing candidate.

I am OK with that....

So JoeSchmoe the taxpayer without a defined pension benefit or paid healthcare from his employer, IF, IF, he is lucky enough to have a job yet, has to suck up tax increases for these leeches.

Joe Sixpack staring at his property taxes skyrocketing isn’t going to take this much longer.

It’s an assault on the Democratic process, on civility, on the legal system, on the taxpayers, and on the children.

Isn’t this just like Greese when their public sector worker’s rose up? The difference is Obama is ‘all in’ with those who would destroy this country.
