Humble, I notice that you get wrapped around the axle when some one posts any thing that redirects folks to their website. Why?

Am I so naive that by clicking on someones website that they are making money from my click?

I'm just axing 'cause I really don't know the answer.

In most cases yes they are.

It's especially offensive when they use stolen content as bait.

Worse, some of them use Free Republic as an advertising platform for this activity.

One of the main functions of a forum like this one is providing a single source for news, without having to travel through “redirect hell” picking up all sorts of cookies, trackers and viruses.

When bloggers mislead you into clicking on their site to watch publicly available material (most of which will eventually be posted by other FReepers in the course of a day) they defeat the whole purpose of having a safe haven for members like you and me.
