Yes, when did “mestizo” OR “mulatto” become a “deeply offensive word”? Both terms are descriptive, neither is derogatory in and of itself.

Both terms are descriptive, neither is derogatory in and of itself.

As opposed to "Uncle Tom" or "Oreo" which is used by African-Americans to define another African-American's "Blackness".
