The Ampera is GMs european (Opel/Vauxhall) edition of the volt. It’s the same chassis with a more “european” look.

The Volt once had potential, but its lifetime will be short.

There will never be a used Volt. The battery is only good for 5 years and costs $10,000. It is covered under the warranty for 10 years but after that you would be better off scrapping the car than buying a replacement battery. And owning the car without the new car warranty would be insane due to the cost of the battery replacement.

The Volt makes as much economic sense as a Ferrari. IOW none what so ever.
