Liberals don’t like “1984” because it shows how communism destroys the human spirit.
True, it does show how big government destroys humanity and that’s why I love it.

I hope to take the liberty of going a little further. For there is poor Winston Smith, utterly and completely beaten. He is sitting at a cafe, drinking cheap "victory gin". As a tear trickles down his cheek, he realises that he "loves Big Brother".
This is the high water mark of any liberal. Rather than seeing those who oppose them, defiant to the last, even in defeat, they sunder those people and bring them on side. We have seen conservatives coming on side and joining the club, just to be accepted by the liberals.
Orwell had it that when one finally gives in and is seduced into liking their adversary, Big Brother has won.
Stand fast Conservatives.
