You know, I thought I was the only person who noticed that about her. Some people, myself included, are writers even when we’re talking, and even more so when we are in the spotlight. I think she freezes up a little here and there because she’s trying to edit as she goes. It occasionally makes her sound a bit awkward, but in the end it means she’s doing more thinking about what she’s saying than the average person does. My dad was like that too. Much more awkward than Sarah, but the result was always worth waiting for.
(I first noticed the trait in myself, actually...then picked up on it when ...*sigh*...adoring her.)
P.S. Don't tell my wife about Sarah, OK? This'll be our little secret.
