I am not completely a political novice having been involved in politics in my business career. To paraphrase your sentiment, I learned the following maxim: "it does not matter how right you are; it matters how effective you are"... That said -this maxim speaks to amassing power and success all premised upon the perception mainly of higher ups...
Our political power comes from the people NOT the higher ups (establishment) -we saw this with the tea party.
We do not need leaders that seek to please the establishment -we need leaders that simply carry out the wishes of the people that got them there. The 'message' does not need to be created it simply has to be heard.
Palin had the right idea -open the primaries to as many as possible and the people will pick who they want!
I agree with you on all counts, except I only hope it is her time in 2012. I also think that if we don’t have a change of direction and leadership by tomorrow, we are doomed. It is very very very serious, this crisis of economy, leadership, and courage.
Received a mailing from the Republican Congressional Reelection Committee or some such containing some cockamamie “survey.” I wrote on the survey form with a Sharpie pen: The only survey that counts took place last November. Since then you twerps have done NOTHING! Don’t think you can fool or satisfy us with another whimpy survey. We recognize INACTION when we see it. You pantywaists’ days or numbered if you don’t DO WHAT YOU CAMPAIGNED ON with no whimpy excuses!
I then stuffed it into the SASE and mailed it back to them. Probably some volunteer in an office somewhere will open it and since it contained no money, throw it into the round file, and nobody who SHOULD see it WILL see it. But I tried.
Yeah, I like this guy too. And as you can tell from my tagline, I don’t much care for backstabbing RINOS shaped like hippos.
This guy gets it. Perfect!
And by the way - If Palin said “It’s time to take up arm and take our Country back.”
I would.
Bobby is right. McCain was an awful candidate and Palin was the only reason he got even close. He was dead in the water in the polls and in the money until he picked her.
Then as he was pulling ahead in the polls he “suspended” his campaign to run back to DC to “solve our problems” when the financial crap hit the fan (personally I believe it was the Dems October surprise and completely manufactured by them) while O did nothing as usual and looked above it all.
These same critics of Palin thought O was going to be a great moderate centrist and would end racial strife and bought into his god-like BS (the oceans will stop rising crap).
So, who gives a flying F what they think?
Come on Bobby, don’t hold back, tell us what you really think..LOVE YA!!!!!!!
To be fair, he was Bush-wacked for deficits and unemployment rates that look good by today's standards. Two wars? Still there, no change, no hope of winning anything in the Middle East with the detached impostor in the White House.
America remains rudderless with the 'present' voting president and the world will pay the price. But, we at least have basketball.
