Why is “giving all Americans a common experience” a good thing? My ancestors didn’t come here to join a “common experience”, they came seeking freedom to do things their own way - from worshiping God to making a living.
These ideas are always from liberal leftists who think 12 years of indoctrination isn’t enough, because too many parents counter-program their kids, and what you really need is 2 years where you’ve got them all to yourself...
good point. My point was that, for better or worse, WWII for example, gave all men of that generation something in common. Certainly, gov't indoctrination isn't the way to do it.
