They never seem to be straight. (Much like the people being quoted.)

“She said it was long term (3 month) milk”
http://www.packworld.com/article-9045
Refrigerated milks and shakes with a 90-day shelf life are making a splash in Canada for Natrel. The Longueuil, Quebec-based dairy is the first North American user of an integrated ultra-high-temperature processing/aseptic filling system that produces the beverages.
She said
We both got about three cases of 1 liter milk that lasts"milk that lasts" may be her technical term for UHT(Ultra Heat Treated) long life milk, which lasts 6-9 months at room temperature (unopened - break the seal and all bets are off)
3 x 12 pack cartons will run out before it expires on time.
(But nadia is still an idjit)
I think she bought the shelf stable milk that comes in boxes. It doesn’t have to be refrigerated. She’s still weird.
Heck, I’m really happy if I can finish the half gallon before it starts going sour. And she’s stockpiling the stuff?? :-)
Sounds like it would taste terrible.
Maybe they should be dumping milk on the No 3 reactor at Fukushimi. Whole milk - not that 1% or skim stuff!
It does.
In my opinion it is only one step better than powdered milk on the “Yuck Factor” Scale.
I think it will probably taste just fine. I buy ultra-Pasteurized half-and-half at Costco and once opened it keeps for close to two weeks. If this particular kind of milk comes available I have no doubt I’ll buy it.
It's probably irradiated.
Submarine nuclear engineer???
Did he keep a sharp eye out for rabbits??
I think it's called cottage cheese.
Hah! I forgot about that guy -- good point. He still is on the loose ... somewhere (probably writing love sonnets to Castro and Hugo)...
The funny thing is that shelf stable milk is irradiated!!!
I actually developed a taste for the stuff when I was in the Navy. It doesn’t quite taste like milk but it is pretty good ice cold.
That was my thought. Isn't that long-term milk irradiated in the carton to sterilize it?
No small irony, that. :-)
I understand nobody's perfect, but what kind of reaction would one expect when you create a post with the subject "Ok I want you people to understand something right now". Without context, that strikes me (and obviously many others) as condescending. It indicates to me that the poster assumes she has some higher level knowledge to impart on us unwashed masses. ...
She can drink milk and grouse about ignorant Amurkins to her hearts content. ...
There's a breaking point for people who are constantly looking up the nostrils of someone who knows everything about everything, and treats all others as dimwits. ...
it is really simple. quit calling a nation of people stupid, and talking down to them ...
stop with the pity party and the attention seeking. You put yourself in this postion. There are only so many condesending messages from self appointed 'experts" people can take."
It all sounds like pretty good advice for those people living in the WH...
Nadin is hilarious. Definitely a “DUmmie of the Year” contender. I was beginning to withdraw from the lack DUFUs. Nice work picking up the slack.
I would like to stock up on Potassium Iodide pills. Milk I did stock up on last Fall when I got Lactaid milk for just 76 cents per gallon after coupons. Would love that deal again...as long as the milk doesn't glow.
Lets call it RadMilk or MilkActive!
NOOOOOOOOO!!!! She can’t leave! How else will I find out such valuable information that only SHE possesses?
