Seriously, who else other than gays, wifebeaters (closet gays), 12-year-olds, and minorities, was this junior-high namecalling comment against a caucasian woman intended to amuse? Is it any real surprise this sexist slur came from a ‘confirmed bachelor’ (read: gay) man who once had Adrianna Huffington as his beard? Quite hypocritical, seeing as gays scream bloody murder if a gay slur is used against them. Lawsuits and firings would have followed the use of the slur directed against a minority woman. It was 'open season' on ridiculing caucasian men 10 years ago - that has now progressed to ridiculing caucasian women.

The big question is, are we going to let Sarah deal with this alone, or are we going to speak up for her? Where are our legislators condemning NOW's response, and Mahar's comment to begin with? Where are our letters to HBO decrying the ridiculing? There should be tens of thousands of them. I'm writing one - will you?
