The Beatles were pretty good in a lot of ways, but shoot, they were overrated. The junk they put on their later albums earns them the most self-absorbed, arrogant band award in my book. I really resented them toward the end. There, I’ve said it.
The Beatles were very lucky they hooked up with George Martin. I think without him they would have been fairly average.
