Former Klansman Seeks Political Office in Florida…as a Democrat

John Paul Rogers, a 70-year old Floridian, wants to run for mayor of a small Florida town called Lake Wales. Just one problem: the democratic mayoral candidate is a former Klansman. Not only was Rogers a Klansman, but he was a leader in the United Klans of America, which was arguably the most violent of the Klan organizations says Florida local and Klan history expert Darryl Paulson:

Paulson, a USF professor, who is an expert in the Klan, points to a case in which two Klansman with the United Klans of America were convicted of attacking 19-year-old Michael Donald in 1981 in Mobile, Alabama. Donald was beaten up and his throat was cut.

Paulson says, “They hung him from a tree and they were sued in court and the civil judgment was launched against the United Klans of America. The jury awarded a six million dollar settlement to the mother of the slain child.”

He adds, “When Rogers says he resigned. He had no other choice. The United Klans couldn’t pay off the six million dollar settlement but they lost their headquarters. Their headquarters was sold as part of the judgement so in essence they were forced out of business. They were financially bankrupt.”

According to a local news station in Tampa Bay, Rogers has no apologies about his time with the KKK.

The KKK was the terrorism wing of the democrat party for decades - what’s the big surprise?

The KKK was, and might still be, the militant wing of the Democrat Party.

And President Carter.

Carter’s lifelong church would not allow blacks.

The Dems started the KKK in order to scare blacks from voting GOP.

Being loyal lemmings to the RAT party, will the blacks line up behind him?

No surprise, really. It was the DEMOCRAT party, after all, that OPPOSED civil rights legislation! Just ask Al Gore's dad! He would know!

A fitting tribute to the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party.

We visited Lake Wales years ago while working down there. Stayed at a little hotel that had been remodeled by a woman using lots of colored glass, seashells, nicely painted yard sale furniture; it also had a soup factory on the grounds. Mary Frann was performing there in the lounge that night. A classmate of my husband’s also played the harp there at times.

I also remember, I think, visiting a road there where things rolled uphill when dropped. That really wasn’t very dramatic to see, though.

At least the (D) after his name will ensure that he gets 90% of the black vote.

The KKK was formed by the Confederate democrats and then later championed by the Progressive democrats. The KKK was considerd the terrorist wing of the democrat party.

Hearings in the Congress and other Court rulings established this as far back as 1869 and then the Congressional hearing of 1871. Of course though thiss still did not stop the Progressive democrats to champion the KKK whenever they gained power.

The first Southern democrat to become President, Woodrow Wilson, even showed KKK films at the WhiteHouse.

Here is a Quotation from Woodrow Wilson’s History of the American People as reproduced in the KKK film The Birth of a Nation.

“The white men were roused by a mere instinct of self-preservation ... until at last there had sprung into existence a great Ku Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern country.”

Many of the political positions taken by Progressive democrats began with intentions of racism or were specifically designed to take away rights and power from others. Even ‘Separation of Church and State’ seems to have began because Republicans were inviting blacks to religious ceremonies at the Capital. The Justice Hugo Black (appointed by the Progressive FDR) was a KKK lawyer and the main Justice behind the ‘Separation of Church and State’ ruling. Abortion as a right started with Sanger who spoke to the KKK and also championed Eugenics in order to decrease the number of births in black race.

Despite his being dead, Congress should impeach Hugo Black. The current court should then revisit most cases he sat on, especially separation of church and state.

I absolutely agree.

The entire Progressive movement should also be held account as to why they still cling to political policies that were begun by the KKK.

The Progressive democrats like to call others racist all of the time. They accused the Tea Party of this with no evidence at all. Yet the entire Progressive democrat party movement and it’s political stances even still today were begun by the KKK.

Since the accusations against the Tea Party had begun I have hoped that they all would arm themselves with this knowledge and directly reply to the Progressive Fister movement with these facts.

The democrat party and the Progressive movement are the real party of the KKK. Even to this day the most celebrated democrat in history is Robert KKK Byrd. He has recieved more admiration within his party and more internal party promotions than any other democrat in history. That is a fact.
