SMDU: Sneezed my dentures out.

True story!!! last summer I was doing a 50 mile ride on the local bike trail. I was almost back to where I parked my truck. I had to sneeze but there was a couple coming at me and I was so tired that I was afraid to cover my mouth as my arms were really weak. I figured wrongly that I could hold it till they passed. As they got within 10 feet of me I sneezed and my teeth went flying out landed upright and rolled right past them. The looks on their faces was priceless. I pulled over picked up my teeth, brushed the gravel off of them and popped them back in. Then had to take a 5 minute break till I stopped laughing.

I knew a fellow who was superintendent at a sewage disposal plant.

He sneezed his false teeth right into the primary clarifier. (That’s where the crap goes to the bottom, condoms float on top and both get removed.)

He fished them out, brushed them, reinstalled them in his mouth and lived to laugh about it.

Something similar happened to my father when I was a lad. He was cleaning ice off the back steps when he sneezed. His dentures flew out, down the steps, across the ice into a fresh pile of dog poop. He soaked them in hot water for a couple of hours before ptting them back in. I laugh every time I think of it. Thanks for reminding me.

That reminds me of one time I was several hundred miles from home and my mom called me crying hysterically--she had been asleep and woke up and couldn't find her false teeth and she was sure she had swallowed them.

I didn't know what I could do so far away and frankly, don't even recall what I did to try to calm her down but anyway, she later called and said she found them on the floor by her chair.
