Oh heck. Well, you can still go for it, after all second-longest running show will still be a big money maker. And the movie, too. After all, everybody loves socks and stories of lost ones and finding the mates behind the dryer after years and the tearful reunions and the stormy breakups and teenage sock angst and... uh... you know.
Shameless theater geek? You must be chomping at the bit to get back to attending again. Pretty slim pickin’s right now over where you are, huh. I support the USO. Do they help you at all? A teeny, tiny bit?
Oh, I am. My theater-geek buddy sent me the upcoming schedule for shows in Houston and there are so many good ones that we're getting season tickets. Plus, we try to go to NYC for a few days aboout once a year.

The USO is awesome. They send entertainment in here pretty regularly. There is also a USO facility with free WiFi and snacks on base by the airfield where we can chill out while waiting for a flight.
When we return home on Freedom Flights (the flights that bring military and their civilian embeds back at the end of their/our tours), the USO have people waiting on the tarmac along with senior officers to greet us, thank us and welcome us back to US soil. Then, we are treated by the USO to quite a nice spread of food and drink on whatver base we have landed on. For me, it's always been early in the morning and we glom on the breakfast. (Bacon, bacon, bacon!)
I love the USO.
