But you would think that the smartest, coolest president ever would not have to recite from a prepared sheet when discussing his thoughts on Libya with top staffers. One has the impression that when he finished, he either left the room, or sat there like a silent sock puppet. I’m much less bothered by a congressman using a teleprompter to speak to schoolchildren than a president whose main talent is to read in a pleasing voice.
The congressman didn’t use the teleprompter at a grade school, the president did.
