No, I'm just being snarky, and in so doing making a counter-point that invalidates your point.

Let me spell it out for you, since you seem to have a very literal mind:

It's absurd to determine the validity of a proposed interpretation of the Constitution by asking whether it would produce a desireable result in some hypotheical scenario the founders could not possibly have forseen.
