There are those newspaper announcements. To me, they would seem to indicate that he probably started with the name Obama.
The public knows Barry Soetoro finished high school in Hawaii as Barry Soetoro and attended Occidental as Barry Soetoro where he did drugs and flunked out of school. After dropping out of Occidental, Barry showed up in New York, homeless and on drugs.
Actually, I'm pretty interested and I did not know that he used the name Soetoro at Punahou or Occidental. I seem to remember having seen the Punahou yearbook images identifying him as Barry Obama. I have sometimes wondered about those other kids in the basketball team photo. I don't believe any of them have come forward, which is a bit strange I think.
There is evidence his alleged attendance at Columbia was faked (Barry never attended Columbia)
This is at odds with what Columbia says. They say he did get a degree there and that he attended, but for one year only which is at odds with the official story.
Bottom line for me is that while this sounds good, there is too much in it that remains contradicted by other old probably genuine documentation.
