I think the person who posted a theory about the CT SSN was refering to information recently released (3-17-11) by Jack Cashill. It may have been brand new, or may have been an excerpt from his book "Deconstructing Obama". More info can be found at this Freerepublic.com post with comments. It includes a link to the source.

In another thread on this some Freeper who worked for SS in the early 80’s pointed out that SSA had for quite a while had checks built into the system
and that there was no zip code in conn using the supposed Hi zip =but changing the first digit plus using an erroneous zip and a city and state would have triggred another error alert.

The silly excuse of the post office realizing there was no Honolulu in Conn so redirected it to Hi is just an example of obamite stupidity.
