Yes, but you don't have to be the first one in nor do you have to work to someone else's timetable. If she's running (and I bet that she is), she aleady has an idea of when and how she will officially enter the race, and isn't going to be pushed into going early just to appease some internet keyboard cowboys who demand that she work according to their ideas of what should be done. (Nor should any of the other potential candidates, for that matter. Palin is hardly alone in this regard.)
