Friday, April 15, the Homosexual Day of Silence is being promoted in government schools across the country.
Welcome students. Today is the big day. Today is your chance to take a stand against the forces of bigotry and homophobia that unfairly targets our brothers, sisters and others in the gay, lesbian, transgendered, bisexual and gender optional community.
By your very presence here, you signify your complete acceptance and approval of alternative lifestyles, sex on demand and the right of all to engage in whatever sexual practices feel good at the moment. You should be proud. And you may all now officially consider yourself enlightened. And empowered.

My own act of silence is a protest against this particular act of silence.
I wonder when they will have blue jeans day to show their support or when they’ll want us to have our headlights on at night to show their support?
My son mentioned this at dinner tonight. He said how he was going to spend the day talking more than usual! We then had a discussion on what it was all about, etc. He didn’t sound real clear about it.
I did tell him that if the “silence” is to support them as people, and their free choice, and not to be bullied, etc. then that is okay. “Even so dad - like not talking for a day is going to change anything!” “Okay - point taken. It is just a “feel food” thing for some liberal to do.”
Regardless, if some guy you know is getting picked on for being gay, stupid, ugly, etc. - you need to step in and tell the other person to knock it off. (He knows several gay guys that are nice enough kids - just “weird”.)
On the other hand, if it is to show support for their choices, and you don’t support them - well, keep talking. But we agreed that it should be his normal amount and on his typical subjects. And if anyone gives him a hard time “Hey, this is who I am. I thought this day was about allowing kids to be who they are?”
“What - and this other stuff isn't?” (Luckily they are truly innocent young teens that think that normal sex is still gross and inapropropriate! (I'm pretty sure my older son doesn't think it is gross anymore, but it IS still inappropriate. I hope that continues until he is married.
As liberals used to say (when it suited them), "It's nobody's business what goes on in someone else's bedroom.". Now it seems like it has to be in our faces constantly.
If only the “love-that-cannot-shut-up-about-iself” would have a day of silence every day.
..... Your son is right. The real goal of this exercise is to indoctrinate your son and his classmates.
Meanwhile, PUBs of all kinds are telling us NOT to get involved in social issues. Even while LIBs continue to push THEIR social issues.
Homosexual unions not approved by voters - no problem, find a homosexual judge to overturn the vote.
Cap and trade not passed in Congress - no problem, get EPA to do an end-around.
TSA groping old ladies and little children - no problem, it’s for security. Meanwhile, Mohammedans get a pass.
On and on it goes, while PUBs cower in cowardice.
Clearly they're making it into "Go to school to support Gay Day."
I’m just happy the turd burglars are going to shut the hell up for a day.
If they could STFU for a year I might have some sympathy for them. But I wouldn’t bet a wooden nickel that they can shut up for one day.
"Git'cher programs HEEah ... can't tell th'playas without a program"
Git'cher programs heeah ... "
How did things get so screwed up?
God must be shaking his head constantly these days wondering why he put so much work and thought into designing the human body (especially the fun parts!).
We don’t need an instruction book to figure out that the Penis (Part #A) is meant, by design, to fit into the Vagina (Part #B).
If it keeps the fags quiet for a day it’s a great idea.
I was going to say keeps their mouths shut, but hat would ruin the whole day for them when they couldn’t engage in sex.

Why only an excerpt for FreeRepublic? Are FReepers only good for generating hits for your blog? Not deserving of the courtesy of full content posting?
If I had children in a government school they would be using their 1st Amendment right to free speech and speaking out against the school promoting perversion.....
At my son’s school, many of the students handle this sick day their own way. Today is also “senior skip day” so the seniors get out of this disease. The kids are encouraged to wear black (as a way to show mourning for the difficulties that gay/lesbian/transgendered/whatever people go through. He has a pair of the brightest board shorts imaginable! I am talking NEON and he is wearing those. One of his pals has a tape of “It’s raining men” in his backpack and will play it in the halls when classes let out to go to another class. Most of them intend to ask the teacher “What?! I didn’t hear that last question, could you speak up”. I wanted to keep him home from school but he has two scheduled quizzes (like that wasn’t planned). That being said, I told him to call us and I would be there is 8 minutes to get him out if it gets overbearing.
Day of Silence, I wish. As the old joke goes: “The love that dare not speak its name, has become the love that won’t shut up.”
What’s with this sex on demand stuff? So now they want to be able to have sex whenever and with whomever they want at the drop of a hat....or they are a victim???
I didn’t post my article on those sites. The owners of the sites did.
FR asks for an excerpt, and that’s what I posted.
