“They did the right thing in dropping Wonkette and I am going to reward them.”

A partial post on wikipedia about wonkette - “..while following the election of Barack Obama, the site also began making frequent jokes at the expense of Tea Party Protesters, Birthers, Peggy Noonan’s weekly column and Sarah Palin.”

So, in reality, they were okay with flaming liberal garbage until it went over the top and they thought it was going to impact their bottom line. Complimenting them for dumping wonkette might well be tempered by asking them why they advertised on that leftwing site to begin with. Before you dive in, it’s helpful to see what is under the surface.

DiGornos is cheaper and better.

I'm guessing that many/most/all of them don't specifically advertise on Wonkette, but rather buy their ads in some sort of ad-placement pool that Wonkette subscribes to. Most such pools allow the vendor and/or site to specify what kinds of ads will be run on what kinds of sites, but until a site crosses the line like Wonkette did, there was little reason to call them out specifically to ban advertising on.
