Bottom line, Rove is advising her campaign and Rove told her to drop it.
Ok. Rove might be right politically speaking. There are certainly other fish to fry. I get all that.
But here is how she could have handled it. She could simply say it has nothing to do with obama and take the high ground and demand that congress and the states tighten up eligibility validation for all presidential candidates going forward. These candidates are going to accept matching money (my money) when they may not even be eligible? I thnk I have “standing” for a complaint. And then she could launch into how we also need to tighten up our borders. Etc
If a shmuck like me can think of an easy low risk path for her while still being true to the constitution than why can’t she?
