Well, the issue as I see it is not necessarily where he was born but what he claimed to be when he was growing up and getting his education.

I suspect that his hidden documentation shows that he grew up as a Muslim and that he either claimed Indonesian citizenship or dual Indonesian-US citizenship while in school so that he could game the system (as a recognized foreign national for all) it was worth.

THAT is what he is hiding I think.
