“He seems to be very timid about saying drill baby drill.”

Though I’m not endorsing anyone at this point, it has to be said that even just a very quick youtube search brings up multiple clips of Trump very strongly advocating oil drilling in the U.S.:

You are living in a fantasy world. It will take generations for us to become energy independent. We are going to add 130 million people in the next 40 years. Since 2000, we have added 29 million. We are going to have to run in order to stand still when it comes to meeting our energy needs.

Oil is a fungible commodity. The global economy depends on the free flow of oil from the Middle East. Saudi Arabia has the world's largest reserves of exportable oil and Iraq has the second largest reserves. That is a reality we must deal with. It is in our strategic national interests to keep that oil flowing. It involves not only our economy but the global economy.

We liberated Iraq because it was in our national interest to do so. Saddam had used WMD against his own people as well as against the Iranians. He had harbored terrorists like Abu Nidal and members of AQ. He had invaded Kuwait and Iran. After 9/11 we couldn't take the chance of allowing hm to stay in power.

Here is why we liberated Iraq: Text of Joint Resolution On Iraq Passed By The United States Congress

Fine.
Then we better all learn to bend over and kiss their hands shouldn’t we?

Also bow to the Chinese.

"The Obamamedia will focus on the word, and not what he said. The problem for them is that most of America agrees with Trump."

He should have addressed his "Listen you mother f***ers we're going to tax you 25 percent." not to China but to American companies that exported their factories there to produce products imported here.

Ever watch Trumps Golf World. When he is managing the construction of golf courses and gives direction to the construction team every other word, at times, is the "F" bomb.
So what else is new...that's Trump!!!

I was stationed at our embassy in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq. It is debatable as to whether Glaspie sent the wrong message to Saddam during her meeting with him. I do know that Saddam's forces were massed at the border and there was discussion about whether he intended to invade the country or just take over the adjacent oil fields. It certainly was not US policy that Kuwait was just the 19th province of Iraq and that Saddam had a free hand to take over a sovereign country that had existed since 1961 when it gained its independence from Great Britain.

It is just as ludicrous to blame the US for the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq as it is to blame the UK for the German invasion of Poland. Saddam was a murderous dictator who had invaded Iran. He is totally responsible for his actions, not us. And the obscene setting fire to the oil fields in Kuwait before being dislodged from Kuwait shows what kind of sociopath he was.

The U.S. was quite supportive of his invasion and war of aggression against Iran in the 1980s. With this approval from the U.S. Government, it wasn’t surprising that the invasion occurred.'

More nonsense. The US in no way was supportive of Saddam's invasion of Iran or somehow gave the green light for that to occur. I was in Iran when our embassy was overrun the first time on February 14, 1979. The second time, on November 4, 1979 was when the hostages were taken. Iraq invaded Iran on September 22, 1980. Our people were still being held hostage at the time the Iraqi invasion began.

The US viewed Khomeini-governed Iran as the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism. The Iranian government was murdering many of its own citizens as well as committing assassanations abroad. The Iraqi invasion was viewed as just a way to sap Iranian strength and hurt a declared enemy of the US--one that was holding American diplomats as hostage for almost a year when Iraq invaded Iran. When you have two enemies fighting one another, you don't get too involved.

The US was under no illusions as to who Saddam was. He was just a counterweight to Iran's ambitions to be the controlling power in the region. The Israelis took out the Osirak nuclear reactor in Iraq in June 1981, a few months after our hostages were released. Iran had tried to take out the site at the beginning of the Iran-Iraq war. We provided some satellite intelligence to Saddam on Iranian troop movements, but no arms. Iraq got most of its weapons from the Soviet Union.

When it comes to national security, Ron Paul is an idiot.

No, we had better get off this socialist, multiculturalist, environmentalist path to national suicide and stop apologizing for past policies that made this country great. Otherwise we will be kissing our ass good bye.

We should remember the Golden Rule: He who has the gold, rules.

Don’t be silly. Class and PC are not the same thing. Your post points out the problem. Few people understand what class even is. You don’t have to drop the *f* bomb to tell the truth. Sheesh. I’m so sick of people who think that the only people telling the truth are telling it from the gutter. I suspect we are going to GET *leaders* who talk like reality TV contestants, but I don’t think that will make them better leaders.

Class and PC are not the same thing.

Unfortunately, for most Reps Class and PC have become the same thing. Unless we develop some passion and can speak in the vernacular, i.e., communicate and connect with the people, we will continue to produce the wooden, bland candidates like Dole, McCain, Bush 41, and to an extent his son, Bush 43 who had real trouble articulating positions and responding to attacks. Even Rove has admitted that they should have come out stronger in defense of their positions--after losing control of Congress in 2006.

Where are the Boehners, Cantors, and McConnells shouting from the rooftops, "Drill, baby, drill?" Where is the legislation? Instead we hear that Boehner and Ryan are receptive to cutting off subsidies to the oil industry. Why aren't we doing more to secure our borders? We are supposed to be in a battle of our national survival. Where is the passion and outcry from our leaders?

Obama and the Dems have no problems with personal attacks and demogoging issues. We are losing in framing our issues. 72% of Americans want the wealthy taxed more.

The Dems never take no for an answer. They are the bare-knuckled street fighters while the Reps are playing by the Marquis of Queensberry rules hovering above the fray. John McCain says that we cannot use Obama's middle name and that personal attacks on people like Rev Wright are out of bounds. The MSM says that we must be more civil in our discourse while systematically destroying Sarah Palin by going over everything in her life with a microscope and helping to spread outrageous lies.

If the Reps continue to let the MSM define what can and can't be said and perpetuate a double standard, the Reps will lose. Demographically, it is just a matter of time until the Reps are the permanent minority party. So let the Dems and MSM play whack-a-mole with every potential Rep demoralizing the base because we really don't have any good candidates.

Trump is the only one who fights back like most people would in real life. It is the reason he is connecting with the people despite having no real record as a conservative. He is saying un-PC things going after Obama's personal narrative. And he using strong language, heaven forbid. What will the repercussions be? Loss of the religious Right? A coarsening of the political dialogue?

The Reps are losing the young. They can't communicate with them. The reaction to Trump's comments is an example of how disconnected some have become to today's culture--however bad or good it may be. The F-word is everywhere whether it is the music, comedy, or the VP. Only uptight, prudish Reps act in horror at the mere mention of it. In the meantime, we have the coolest guy ever in the WH who plays basketball, can speak in street jive, and use social media to get his message out. We saw how well McCain, the tired. old white guy did against the young, bi-racial stud. And Hillary got beat as well despite having all of the initial advantages.

The only glimmer of hope is the Tea Party movement. For the first time in my memory, conservatives are taking to the streets, townhalls, etc. with the passion and commitment that was the province of the Left. They propelled the Reps to their historic victories in 2010, but they, including myself, are becoming disillusioned with the GOP who has failed to act on their mandate. The phony $100 billion budget cut that morphed into $350 million was a disaster. Of course, Boehner killed any chance for real negotiations by taking a government shutdown off the table. Now as we get towards the vote on raising the debt ceiling, the Reps say that it will be raised regardless. They need to read Trump's Art of the Deal."

Until you learn to condense your thoughts I’m not going to bother to read your stuff. I don’t want to spend that much time to decide I disagree with you. We don’t have to throw around the F word to make ourselves understood. If you do then you have a serious lack of vocabulary. which is odd for someone who can’t make a point without writing 8 paragraphs.
