Think Progress: The South Deserved To Be Destroyed By Tornados
Red State ^ | 4-29-11 | Tabitha Hale

Posted on 04/29/2011 10:42:09 AM PDT by tcrlaf

The south is still realizing the full extent of the damage caused by this week’s storms. Nearly 300 people are dead. The country is rallying in support of the devatated areas, and President Obama (who must have learned something from ignoring Nashville’s flood last year) is set break character to visit the very red state today.

Anyone with a soul feels pain for those affected. Thousands have lost everything. Lives were destroyed. Think Progress (via Da Tech Guy) has instead chosen to adopt the Pat Robertson model and claim Divine Justice for those redneck Republican climate change deniers in the south.

“Given that global warming is unequivocal,” climate scientist Kevin Trenberth cautioned the American Meteorological Society in January of this year, “the null hypothesis should be that all weather events are affected by global warming rather than the inane statements along the lines of ‘of course we cannot attribute any particular weather event to global warming.’”

"The congressional delegations of these states — Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, and Kentucky — overwhelmingly voted to reject the science that polluting the climate is dangerous. They are deliberately ignoring the warnings from scientists."

You’re reading that right. To paraphrase Brad Johnson’s post: Since the south has rejected the climate change hysteria, clearly they’re just asking for the wrath of Gaia, and should expect to be demolished.

Pubs should put out this info nationally,.So many voters have no idea how evil, and really un-scientific these liberal climate ogres are. And Dems in droves believe this absurdity while Bama goes down in shirtsleeves(as he should have btw) to give some solace to the South. Of course, it was, govt. aid . We shall see if TX gets the same ploy as Guv. Perry wanted.

Only a person suffering from a gullible mind, phenomenal ignorance and partisan tunnel-vision could conjure such a vapid conclusion.

“need of immediate medical attention” -

For you or for the p***k? (On FR, you have to be specific about such things.)

I had to put my hand over my mouth to keep the vomit from spraying onto my keyboard.

Have the families of the dead seen this? G-d Almighty deliver me from New England.

“These smug, hateful bastards really would prefer we conservatives, especially Southern white ones, died. They’d honestly rather see us dead in the streets or buried in the rubble of our homes than continuing to live on “their” precious planet.”

If that’s the case, then I say let Civil War II begin.

Go to hell, Yankees.

You know, some of us Yankees have already given significant donations to help the rebuilding effort in the South. Including me and my wife.

If anyone needs to dispatch themselves to Hades, it's the cadre of sick, hateful, liberal fascists that dwell in sewers like Think Progress.

The null hypothesis is that there is no global warming beyond what can be attributed to common cause variation.

Point well taken, good sir. And thank you.

I was only referring to the particular Yankees at Think Progress, though.

There are always EXCEPTIONS to every broad-based statement...

Go to hell, Yankees.

Perhaps "go to hell, MOST Yankees.."; so the good guys aren't unfairly labeled. :-)

No offense taken, truly.

I got pretty fired up, though, when I read the story headline about the South "deserving" to be destroyed because (1.) I hate Progressive fascists, and (2.) I spend a great deal of time in the South on business. I'll be in NC next month and we're going to try to hook up with a group of folks helping to rebuild some of the homes that were destroyed a couple of weeks back.

...so how does ‘Think Progress’ explain 1925 or 1974?

Their [leftists] god is vindictive.

Our God, the one, true and ONLY Creator instructs us as follows:

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:28 (KJV)

The Almighty God of the Bible is just and merciful when He tells us to "subdue" the earth. There's no mention of any of this "global warming" fairly tale nonsense in the King James version (or even more recent versions). Leftists are the enemy and they are just plain wrong on this as they are on everything else.

I understand.

That is great; we sure can use the help in North Carolina.

I happen to work in one of the towns hit by the tornadoes, but the damage here wasn’t as severe as in Sanford and in Bertie County. You may have seen the YouTube video where a man is filming a tornado from the front seat of his pickup and discussing it very calmly...that was shot only a few miles from my office.

The comments are what are really sickening. It’d be the equivalent of us whooping it up at “those liberal rat pinko bastards up there in New Yawk gettin’ it” on 9/11...WHICH WE DIDN’T. Instead, schoolchildren in Lexington County, SC (where I lived at the time) raised over two hundred thousand dollars to buy a hard-hit FDNY station a new fire truck and paint it with the names of the men the station lost in the WTC.

These smug, hateful bastards really would prefer we conservatives, especially Southern white ones, died. They’d honestly rather see us dead in the streets or buried in the rubble of our homes than continuing to live on “their” precious planet.””

And this is why a peaceful separation of the blue from the red states is a worthy consideration. Sad to see that many of the blue state collective have so little in common with old-fashioned, pro-American ideals and traditions.
