Look. This guy has proven that this doc is a composite of two vastly different types of type.

We want to know from either Obama or the Hawaii Dept of Health, WHY?? If there was one file in the archives from 1961, why wasn’t everything on it, typed in 1961?

We simply want to know why.

Whereas I want to know why the conspiracy theorists think they had to do this. Are you just saying that they incompetently built a bad document when they easily could have built a good one? Because that simply makes no sense.

And all they’ve shown is that the image they have downloaded has layers with different types of type. That doesn’t mean the original document has them; we know the document was scanned, and we know that people have replicated similar types of layering by scanning documents.

I haven’t scanned a document to look for layers; but I have tried to scan documents I have to get them into text form so I can edit them, and I know that I can sometimes get partially-converted documents, even with my older software, so I have no reason to doubt that with the more modern multi-layer stuff people are talking about, the program could do text on some things, and leave other things as images.

BTW, I’m not saying the document is real. How would I know that? I’m not saying it is fake — I see no clear evidence of that. Looking at everything said, and weighing the logic behind the arguments, I tend to accept that this is a real document, unless there is some real evidence provided showing it was forged in a way that you can explain why it was forged in that way.
