Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring Bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.
This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda’s other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.
May God bless our troops and our intelligence services, and God bless America!

A firefighter on Fox & Friends this AM reminded us that the interrogation of KSM at GITMO is what started the final punch 4 years ago. Barry gets into office and wants nearly to let KSM off! Much as I hate to say this, I think it was a tactically sound move. If he was buried on land, his grave would become some sort of shrine, with worshipers, and inspired devotees and the whole nine yards. By burying him at sea, there is no site, he is just gone.
As to the quick burial, also a sound move. There can't be any debating or discussing or outrage or wailing or gnashing of teeth. It's to late, it's a done deal. Also, by treating the body "in accordance with Islamic law", the towel-heads can't go on some inspired rampage saying that the infidels desecrated his body, etc. etc.
Personally, I would have preferred that they chained his ankles to the bumper of a GTO and drug him 50 miles down I-5 in a thunderstorm. But I'll forgo that pleasure because in spite of the void that this whole arrangement left in me, I know that it will leave the muzzies with a bigger void. And theirs will last a lot longer than mine.
The words of a person who belongs in our White House - a real American. I can’t wait to hear announcements like this released from where Sarah Palin ought to be. God bless America, and God bless (future) President Palin.
