THe south if they had gained there freedom would have resemble the US under the AoC. They were fighting against centralized govt. YOu cannot judge the North or the South by what happened during wartime.
Wrong. The south gave us the commie FDR, that's where his voter base was. FDR is the man most responsible for the mess we're in now.
Southerners aren't any more inclined to freedom than Northerners, the only reason why southern states are more republican is because they're more rural. Compare a sample of rural northerners with rural southerners and the patterns will be the same. Compare urban southerners with urban northerners and the patterns would be the same. Our differences lie in rural vs urban today, not north vs south. The presidential election county maps prove it.
