These polls are useless at this stage. They are historically poor predictors of what will happen, and they reflect little of any importance, but rather just name recognition, in such a potentially crowded fields, especially when the “headliners” haven’t even entered the race (or announced that they’re not going to).
I agree, and I also think poll numbers alone are always questionable unless the reader knows how the questions were framed.
I don't think anyone anywhere can generate the enthusiasm that Sarah Palin will once she enters the race in earnest. That kind of poll cannot be manipulated.
