NBC's Tina Fey guest-hosted "Saturday Night Live" last evening, and viewers could hardly be surprised her network took the opportunity to once again use her to bash former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
In a mock Republican presidential candidates debate, before depicting Palin as an idiot that doesn't fully understand English, Fey did manage to take a humorous swipe at the soon to be exiting CBS "Evening News" host saying, "I want to acknowledge that this week we finally vanquished one of the world's great villains, and I for one am thrilled to say good riddance to Katie Couric" (video follows with partial transcript):
That's a good one!!!
Well said. Yep, "Palace Guards."
That's the reason that Ronald Reagan won by 49 States in 1984!!
Government stands in the way of America becoming energy independent. Government stands in the way of business and personal prosperity. Government is now shifting to stand in the way of every American's individual and independent access to medical care.
Americans are begging for an alternative. I hope Palin runs, and I hope conservatives in politics stop thinking in terms of the idiot individuals they're running against, and start thinking in terms of the principle they're running FOR: limited government. THAT is what will resonate with American voters.
Too bad Ms Fey has count on Sarah's success to continue her gig.
Im thinking with all this free publicity, why not run....? I think now, what does she have to lose.
For one thing, she will elevate the debate... and if she loses she will unite us behind the person who does win.
THere is no doubt in my mind that she will run...no doubt...

Great points. Why shouldn’t she run? She has an excellent shot at going down in history as the FIRST female nominee of a major party. That would be on the books (and wikipedia) forever.
She can go after Obama full-on, why not? And the last point I fully agree on...she’s running. I was skeptic until someone pointed something out to me: she wouldn’t tease her supporters this long, too many negative consequences.
I was watching Saturday night — a rarity, because I don’t feel the show is usually ever very funny. But another skit Fey did singing w/ the other pregnant woman was just totally gross.
SNL stopped being funny in 1980. Fey and her fellow cast are simply vile, hateful, terrible actors. Lots of yucks there.
Why is everyone trashing Saturday Night Live? I enjoy it when Ed comes out and talks about the “really big shoe”. What a knee-slapper.
SNL..Screw a Neighbor & Laugh. Funny ha ha./s
Like all bad humor, the Tina Fey Palin-is-an-idiot jokes lack a kernel of truth.
yeap what this skit tells us is that SNL/NBC thinks Gov Palin will be running in the primaries thus the return of Fey as GOv Palin.
It also tells us that the left is goign to try the same gameplan to discredit Gov Palin in 2012 as they tried in 2008. The problem with idiots is they always fight the last war. SNL/NBC/the left is fighting the last war not the present one.
The forces that were arrayed against Gov Palin are again forming to renew the attack with the same battleplans and the same lame talking points from 3 years ago. It didn’t work then and I doubt it will work now. Palin has grown so much in the last 3 years that she is basically a different person.
Oh man she will destory these people.
What do we know about Tina Fey’s personal life? Clue me in.
She is currently making $350,000 per episode of 30 Rock.
Maybe somebody should explain that to her.
Tina Fey actually has said she like Sarah Palin. What’s not to like. I think they had a blast when she was on the show in 2008. I did not particularly like the skit this time. The Katie hit was the only relatively funny part. Normally Tina does a pretty good “Palin” but not this time.
What do we know about Tina Feys personal life? Clue me in.
Born in 1970. Married on 3 June 2001. Had first child September 10, 2005. Had second child 7 April 2011. Went to the University of Virginia. I think she is having a typical American personal life. Isn’t University of Virginia a relatively conservative school.
