Washington Post Company chairman Donald Graham told shareholders Thursday morning that he was unaware of the controversy surrounding the rapper known as Common, whom Michelle Obama has invited to a poetry event, until Cliff Kincaid of the watchdog group Accuracy in Media asked him about it. Graham apparently missed a story on the front page of his newspaper, which offered a defense of Common’s lyrics.

“Mr. Kincaid, I thank you for informing me of something I didn’t know about,” Graham said. “You have brought our attention to an interesting controversy.”

WE are the new media. Post articles to Facebook and Twitter, strike up conversations at the water cooler. Engage, inform, enlighten.

You are 100% correct.
In addition, Conservative parents need to encourage their kids in the arts and music.
We’ve lost the cultural war because we haven’t encouraged decent Conservative artists and musicians enough.
Believe it or not, I’ve geen an artist and musician since I was a kid and haven’t received a DIME of grant money for it!
