Palmetto Patriot.... The truth is the typical American Jew under 40 is probably more about watching Jon Stewart, and mumbling about “social justice” than following daily events in Israel.
The typical Jewish house of worship will be practically empty. The typical rally for Israel draws mostly senior citizens, few of whom were born in the US.
If the topic of Israel comes up, the typical American Jew will feel shamed into qualifying their Zionism by bad mouthing Israel, or agreeing with their pro-Palestinian friends to some extent. On college campuses, outward Zionists would risk being harassed, and subject you to a barrage of name calling.
The exceptions to this exist of course, and amongst them, they are either in total denial or so jaded that it’s difficult for them to know how to respond at all.
Two interesting responses can be found at these blogs though:

>>>Rush basically said that that today.
Great minds think alike. :)
They seem to believe that the excesses of Marxism can be blamed on those who ran the systems, not on the philosophy itself.
I've always been able to have friendly relationships with most of them in spite of philosophical differences, but over the last few years I've become aware that they really hate my guts.
America isn't really coming together, it is fragmenting into hostile camps.
Love that quote!
...and call a victim or the law-abiding a terrorist.
***I will no longer accept them as jews.***
How about “uberkapos”?
Winston Churchill had something to say about precisely that, check into it. You definitely won't read a lot about it in our history books. There were actual reasons many Europeans, perhaps most, associated Jews with Bolshevism.
Here is a sample of what Churchill had to say:
There is no need to exaggerate the part played in the creation of Bolshevism and the actual bringing about of the Russian Revolution by these international and for the most part atheistical Jews. It is certainly a very great one; it probably outweighs all others. With the notable exception of Lenin, the majority of the leading figures are Jews.
Now this association between Jews and marxism has faded significantly once the true face of Soviet communism became clear (Stalin had begun turning against them as well) and then the ideology mostly collapsed anyway. Additionally, it was perhaps precisely because of years of persecution that many Jews gravitated to secular socialism in the first place. Still, the link was extremely strong at one time - and to this day many/most Jews remain wedded to secular progressive politics (though not outright communism).
Unfortunately, this is true of too many Americans in general.
But as I observed the results of the 2010 mid-term elections, I came to believe that the times are changing.
Those results were truly stunning. Obama's agenda was stopped in its tracks, no matter what the media is trying to peddle to the American public.
We need to keep up the momentum.
We are one election from taking back our country.
SO!
'Am Yisrael Chai'=the Nation of Israel is [still] alive or the People of Israel are [still] alive
In laymen terms "The People of Israel Live"
Did you ask if it was okay if her desire for peace in Israel ended up resulting in the genocide of Israelis? Maybe you could pin her down on the number of Jews it would be okay to murder if peace could be achieved.
I great idea. Let’s get a collection together and fly her over to Israel so she could live in a Muzzie Pali town where she can feel the peace from the RoP!
Hubby said that today too, that he was pretty sure Obama is a secret muslim.
We are not Jewish, but I have always been a very strong supporter of Israel, I don’t really think hubby thinks about it too much.
Am Yisrael Chai!!!!!
You mean those ‘plastic’ Christian who believe in Unborn Genocide in all forms? And in redistribution of wealth, as long as it is not theirs?
A reminder: Dear Leader to his buddy “Stephy” during the 2008 campaign: “...my Muslim faith...”
