Media and leftists are trying to redesign man into their godless image where they pervert the very nature of man. Their ideal: Bareback Mountain and a reincarnation of Alexander the Great and homosexual Greece where pederasty was normal and woman are just second class citizens. (So romantic!)
John Wayne, as portrayed in many movies, underscored God’s design and the difference between men and woman (which is profound). Of course, leftists want to obscure and erase differences, so men and women are interchangeable and therefore, they can then advocate the irrational idea of gay marriage and the lie that there is no differences between homosexual marriage and heterosexual marriage.
That idea was scoffed at by all sane people in Wayne’s day. Hmmmm—what has changed the worldview???? Constant propaganda in the schools and universities and media and PC culture which allows no debate and censors ideas that go against their Marxist ideology. No truth allowed in the public square.
Born in my dad’s hometown, the Duke weighed 14 lbs at birth. How would you like to give birth to that?
Any one who disparages John Wayne does not, in my view, have the conservative view of Freepers. He represents and underscores the Founding principles of the US—Freedom in line with the laws of nature and God’s Laws.
He represents reason and sanity, common sense and virtue. He is a perfect example of what God had in mind when he designed man.

John Wayne always said “Red River” was his best movie. I know he kept the Red River “D” as his own personal brand. Also wore that on his belt buckle.
I thought it was also a very good movie tho Wayne was sort of mean in part of it.

Thanks so much for your remarks. If you have the time, please go my posts and read what was said about John Wayne. I was so upset I nearly quit FR. It was soooo depressing and everyone got on my case. They said I was “in love” with John Wayne and “obsessed” with him because I defended him. They said he was a coward, afraid of horses, a bad actor, I can’t even remember the awful things that were said. And, yes, by our fellow freepers. I really felt old and out of it, lol!

Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, talk free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat - the same tightness a man gets when his baby takes his first step or his first baby shaves and makes his first sound as a man. Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.
