Where do these people come up with this crap.
Corn on the cob isn’t field corn. It’s sugar corn or Silver Queen. people who grow corn to sell for Corn on the Cob grow it for eating , not to make Ethanol out of it, and the price they charge is a premium for eating corn much more than they can get for field corn.
Corn on the cob from a grocery store isn’t fit to eat anyway. Real Eating Corn loses half it’s sweetness 24 hrs after it is picked. The best is picked and put in the pot immediately.
Barring that, buy it from a produce stand you know who gets it locally. The Amish here raise it and sell it on the side of the road. So far that isn’t illegal, but who knows, some Health Dept. nut might get an erection thinking up ways to screw them out of that this year.

Sounds like a new consumer/health protection agency in the making. They could also ‘protect’ the citizenry against unsanitary conditions and tax avoidance schemes in all those roadside lemon aid stands.
None of this farmers corn is "sweet corn". It does nd will creae shortages...but he gets one heck of a subsidy.
P.S. These farmers play the mrket...They can wind up losing because of price quarantees.
I agree; but most of what they say are lies designed to lower our moral. Besides the ethanol scam people have to make their money back by still stealing and conning and the government has to continue its one way destruction of America to one world government where sickos reign.
It takes an examiner blog pimp to come up with crap like this. Venture, over to that boll weavel infested site at your own risk.
It is more profitable right now to grow corn to be used to feed livestock and produce it to be used for ethanol. That is why the hoarding is going on, to push up the price. Some farmers believe they can make more money by raising it for those purposes rather than for human consumption. It is called Free Enterprise.
