The United States is in a Constitutional and political crisis without precedent.
What can ordinary Americans do when a large number of politicians are corrupt and an even larger portion of the national political leadership is complicit in a cover-up of that corruption?
Do we petition those leaders to investigate and punish themselves?

Having been born in Panama and not eligible to run for the Presidency, McCain obviously doesn’t recognize the Constitution either.
For me, the uncertainty about McCain’s ineligibility was resolved by the bogus, non-binding Senate Resolution 511, co-sponsored by Obama, which declared McCain a “natural born citizen” and, therefore, eligible for the Presidency.
The fact that Congress has no authority to do such a thing was apparently completely irrelevant to that majestic body. Maybe I’m a cynic, but it sounds to me like just another crooked, backroom deal.
If McCain and Obama both didn’t need the “cover”, why go through that elaborate Senate charade?

Emotions should have nothing to do with the meaning of Natural Born Citizen. It’s clear from the research threads on FR what the writers of the Constiutiton meant, and subsequent and contemporaneous Constitutional scholars meant.
Why appeal to emotions, that’s a losers’ game. Constitutional requirements and intent are the only thing that matters. Unfortunately the Constitution seems to be an historical oddity to too many citizens, what to speak of judges and elected and appointed officials. I hope that on FR the Constitution which also includes original intent sill matters.

1. He was NOT born in a naval hospital. Coco Solo did not have a hospital at that time. He was born in Colon, Republic of Panama, Colon Hospital, which was the nearest hospital to Coco Solo.
2. Had he been born out in someone’s front lawn in Coco Solo, Canal Zone, he still could not have become president.
I and many of us who were born within the Canal Zone, such as Gorgas Hospital, could never, ever become president...not that we wanted to. That, from the beginning, was always the law. Period.
Extra rights?!!! He was born in Panama because his parents were ordered there by the United States Government. We're not discussing the offspring of some disaffected ex-pat. It sounds to me like your position would be a strong disincentive to ever serve if the children of U.S. personnel can be arbitrarily striped of their u.s. citizenship based on your absurd interpretations.
My reference to McCain's parentage and rank was to underline their long-time service to this country.

No one is talking about stripping anyone of their citizenship. There is, however, one singular exception to citizenship as it relates to the presidency.
The Constitution states with absolute clarity that one must be a natural born citizen to hold that singular office. Nowhere else is there such a requirement. Only the president is required to be a natural born citizen.
A citizen born on foreign soil holds dual citizenship. A natural born citizen may not hold dual citizenship.
To be natural born one must not only be born on US soil, one must also be born of a father and a mother who are citizens. McLame does not qualify, nor does the Won.
Quit "having respect for" these treasonous bastards.
