So the children born overseas of our brave servicemen and women should not be considered natural born citizens? What a way to repay our warriors!
Emotions should have nothing to do with the meaning of Natural Born Citizen. It’s clear from the research threads on FR what the writers of the Constiutiton meant, and subsequent and contemporaneous Constitutional scholars meant.
Why appeal to emotions, that’s a losers’ game. Constitutional requirements and intent are the only thing that matters. Unfortunately the Constitution seems to be an historical oddity to too many citizens, what to speak of judges and elected and appointed officials. I hope that on FR the Constitution which also includes original intent sill matters.
