We are in an age where the Safety Net has become a Lifestyle.

Back in the late 40’s, my Blind Aunt had to be forced to apply for Welfare after she lost her job at a clothing sweat shop in Brooklyn. She collected $10 a week for about six months until she found part time work and her Brother who lived with her at the time started making a little more money.

Mt Aunt was embarrassed collecting that check and she did whatever she had to do to stop getting it.

Nowadays people flaunt their Welfare Debit Cards like a badge of honor. After all, the money comes from Obama’s stash doncha know.

Never had a problem with a military vet having some ink. It just drives me nuts when I see an especially pretty young girl early in life who has opted to mar herself. When I see one I go home and thank my daughters for having better common sense.

Back in the 90’s when our local library installed free web access, kids would sit in there and print out garbage from rock music and anime sites all day long. They had to start charging to print because they put the library $100K in the hole for paper year one!
