The Monroe Doctrine should have been consistently enforced a long time ago. Argentina was economically occupied and robbed by interests in Europe until 2002. Now Argentinians have a large barter network running with a weaker and smaller government only observing.
That could be us in some respects, in the near future. And look for a US currency adjustment immediately after our US default, or continue to ignore that consequence. Spending and regulations against manufacturing and men at work in general should have been curtailed.

Well said. I accessed old friend Wikipedia and once again checked that the islands were uninhabited at one time. Argentina, or what was that land mass, did not give a care about it. The Dutch and Spanish had control at one time. Surprisingly after WW2, Britain appeared to allow the Argentine jurisdiction there, on condition certain rights were given the Islanders.
So upset and concerned were the Falklands people, the British government backtracked fast. Something rankles the President. I wonder if it was his memories of his British Dad? (chuckle).
