Tito told Stalin that the partisans would fight the Soviets if postwar Yugoslavia was occupied like the other satellites. He was a very different breed and very pro-western.

I never cared for Draza or the Ustachi. Yugoslavia was so decimated by World War Two that the brutality crossed all sides. Tito was strong and ruthless and even the great Churchill had to deal with him.

Tito reminds me of Franco. It isn't that cut and dried. Just a terrible time for everyone.

Mihailovich had nothing to do with the fascist, pro-Nazi Utashis. In fact, he fought against them too.

Tito was NEVER pro-western. He was a dedicate communist who was pro-Tito, and when it suited him, pro-Stalin. In fact, he even made deals with the German occupying forces NOT to attack them but instead would attack the nationalist Chetniks of Mihailovich.

Draza was betrayed by British Communist Party members in the OSS. See David Martin’s “Ally Betrayed” , 1947 for one of the early stories on this man.
